Our Mission For 2025/26: Building Ireland’s Suicide Prevention Network

Every year, more than 500 people in Ireland die by suicide — that’s more than one life every day.
Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community that could have been saved.
At Social Ground Force, we’ve spent the last decade proving that suicide can be prevented — every time.
Our model has already achieved a 100% success rate in suicide prevention among clients since 2014.
In 2024, we worked with over 65 clients and their families, including 69 children, helping them move from crisis to recovery and saving the State an estimated €15 million in healthcare and justice costs.
Now, our mission for 2025/26 is to build Ireland’s first National Suicide Prevention Network — a rapid-response system that connects every community with life-saving support when it’s needed most.
We’ve already started:
✅ In September, we hosted a local presentation in Killasser Community Centre (Co. Mayo) — more than 40 people attended, and seven participants have now joined our training programme to become peer-support specialists.
✅ This is how the network begins — community by community, person by person, story by story.
We’re now inviting community centres, parishes, and local organisations across Ireland to collaborate with us — to host presentations, training sessions, and help bring this model to every county.
Our model has proven to work — and now we’re expanding it across Ireland.
👉 Together, we can make sure that no one faces their darkest moments alone.
