Looking Ahead — Our Priorities For 2026

The need for our service is growing.
In 2024, Social Ground Force supported 65 people and their families, including 69 children.
In 2025, we supported 76 people and their families, including 105 children.
And most importantly:
✔ 100% success rate in suicide prevention
✔ Not a single person who reached out to us in 2024–2025 was lost to suicide.
These are not just numbers.
They are lives saved — and proof that our model works.
🎯 Our priorities for 2026
2026 is about scaling what works — responsibly, humanly, and urgently.
Our key priorities include:
✔ Continuing the development of Recover Club, Sligo
A recovery and education space supporting people post-rehabilitation through structure, community, and purpose.
✔ Expanding the Recovery Circle Programme
Providing continuity, peer support, and long-term stability.
✔ Establishing a 24/7 crisis response service
Because lives depend on speed — not waiting lists.
✔ Employing 2 full-time and 2 part-time staff
To ensure sustainability and continuity of care.
✔ Working with regional and national media
So that people across Ireland know where to turn — and can access immediate help when they need it most.
✔ Education & prevention work with universities and youth centres
Helping young people stay healthy, avoid addiction, and spread these values among their peers.
✔ Continuing to build Ireland’s National Suicide Prevention Network
Our goal is to establish local Social Ground Force representation in every county in Ireland, so that people can access immediate, frontline support close to home — when time matters most.
Our current priority is to strengthen and formally establish SGF presence in:
Sligo • Mayo • Leitrim • Galway • Donegal • Athlone • Limerick
From there, we aim to expand county by county, ensuring no community is left without access to rapid suicide prevention and recovery support.
🤝 How you can support our work
