Our Impact In 2025 — Numbers That Save Lives

2025 was a year of measurable impact and lives saved for Social Ground Force.
We don’t speak in slogans.
We work with real people, real risk, and real outcomes.
📊 Our impact in 2025:
🔹 76 service users supported
🔹 105 children impacted and protected
Because addiction is a family disease — recovery affects entire households.
🔹 100% success rate in suicide prevention
Not a single life lost among those we supported
🔹 Immediate response
100% of clients received education and support within 48 hours
🔹 Recovery outcomes
✔ 75% showed measurable recovery improvements
✔ 45% medium-to-long-term recovery rate — without funding for SGF from the state, foundations, or other organizations.
🧠 Mental health challenges among our clients:
The reality behind the numbers is stark:
⚠ 96.7% presented with depression
⚠ 80.3% experienced suicidal ideation
⚠ 50.8% had previously attempted suicide
These are people at the highest possible level of risk. Every delay can cost a life.
⚖️ Interaction with State systems:
Many of those we support are already deeply involved with State structures:
• 46.7% have been in the court system
• 50.8% engaged with Probation Services
• 31.7% have been in prison
This clearly shows the strong link between addiction, mental health, and the justice system — and why early, immediate intervention matters.
👥 Who we supported:
• 69.7% men / 30.3% women
• Age range: 14–69 years
• 34.8% came from counties outside Sligo
• 16.9% were experiencing homelessness
• 38.7% had previous rehabilitation experience
⚠️ Addiction profiles (often overlapping):
• Alcohol dependency — 93.7%
• Cocaine — 57.4%
• Cannabis — 44.3%
• Benzodiazepines — 23%
• Gambling addiction — 20.3%
These are not abstract statistics. They are lives saved, families stabilised, and futures reclaimed.
