On September 24th, Social Ground Force launched our nationwide series of Suicide Prevention & Recovery Outreach events.
The first evening took place in Killasser Community Centre, Co. Mayo, bringing together over 40 participants — local community members, volunteers, and people with lived experience.
Our CEO and founder, Aubrey Melville, delivered a powerful, emotional, and professional speech, sharing his personal story, showing the reality of addiction, and presenting SGF’s suicide prevention model — proven to work with 100% success since 2014.
Participants also heard inspiring recovery testimonies from Anthony, Angie, and Paul, who shared their journeys and confirmed how vital this work is.
Their voices highlighted the life-saving impact of Aubrey and the dedicated team of 12 SGF volunteers, who carry out this important mission every day.
